HPSV-SON / SON-T
HPSV-SON / SON-T
High-pressure sodium vapour lamps with a polycrystalline translucent Aluminum Oxide discharge tube enclosed in an ovoid or tubular outer glass envelope. The ovoid shell of the SON lamp is internally coated with uniform layer of diffusing powder applied electrostatically. The discharge tube contains an amalgam of mercury and sodium along with Xenon gas as starting aid. The outer shell is evacuated and a getter coat maintains this high degree throughout the lamp life. These lamps need a ballast, an electronic igniter and a capacitor as accessories for optimum performance.
Applications:
Ideally suitable for reducing energy consumption in both indoor/outdoor applications, while providing benefits of high efficacy, long service life, reliability and fairly good colour rendering in Industries, foundries, steel mills, etc. Warehouses, go downs, etc. Airport aprons, parking areas, storage yards, docks, etc. Highways, streets, flyovers, junctions, etc. Floodlighting of monument, exhibition sites, stadium, etc. Standard SON / SON-T With a luminous efficacy up to 120 Im/lw,standard SON lamps are cost effective and best on high ways, industries and area lighting, which need continuous lighting for extended periods of time.
T lamps are ideal for precise optical control. SON-H: Mercury retrofit SON-H lamps have been specifically created to be directly interchangeable with mercury vapour lamps without any change of gear. SON-H offers an immediate improvement by using less energy and producing more Light. SON-T Agro: Greenhouse lighting SON-T Agro improves output and profitability in all sectors of greenhouse production. SON-T Agro generates a spectrum with more blue radiation, optimizing plant development, producing more volume, stronger plants good leaf and bloom colour and extra branching.
Features / Benefits:
Very short run up time and rapid re-strike time. Golden white light emitted by lamp gives a warm appearance and better visual acuity. Excellent lumen-maintenance and very long life. Very high efficiency hence highly energy effective. Tubular lamps are ideal for precise optical control.

MHD/MHN-TD lamps with their excellent natural white colour, high luminous efficacy and compact size are designed to meet the demanding requirements of professional sports lighting and floodlighting applications.
Having no outer jackets, the lamps allow the design of more compact luminaries systems, with precision optics, optimizing system efficacy, ensuring good beam control, and reducing spill light to a minimum. This, combined with their high luminous flux and efficacy, allows the design of lighting schemes with fewer luminaries, minimizing both installation and running costs.
The colour point of the lamps is on the black body locus, giving a natural white colour appearance. This combined with good colour rendering makes it easy to distinguish colours and ensures a pleasant ambience and player and spectator comfort.
The lamps must be housed in enclosed luminaries, fitted with UV absorbing front glass, and having the correct thermal conditions for optimal lamp performance. The MHD/MHD-TD lamps have a daylight HPI/HPI Plus/HPI-T lamps are single ended metal halide lamps consisting of a quartz discharge tube, containing high-pressure mercury and a mixture of metal halides, which is housed in a hard glass outer envelope, fitted with a standard screw base. They are available in either ovoid coated (HPI/HPI Plus), or clear tubular (HPI-T) versions.
They offer a unique combination of a natural white colour appearance, and high luminous efficacy both initially and through their long lives, giving many years of reliable operation, and making them an ideal lamp choice for many applications. Their high luminous efficacy reduces the number of luminaries needed, minimizing installation and energy costs, while the excellent lumen maintenance and lamp life ensures high-maintained illuminance levels and minimal maintenance costs. The colour point is on the black body locus giving a natural white light colour appearance. This combined with good colour rendering makes it easy to distinguish colours and ensures a pleasant ambience and user comfort.
The excellent colour stability through life ensures good colour uniformity over time even with spot replacements. All lamps require a suitable ballast and ignitor (except-S types), and must be housed in enclosed luminaries (except-P types). To minimize these differences the burning position of the lamps should be within +/- 5 degrees of the nominal specified. Applications HPI-T sports lighting, floodlighting of buildings and monuments, area lighting e.g. harbour, building sites, canopy lighting e.g. petrol stations, and horticultural lighting. HPI/HPI Plus indoor high bay lighting, e.g.industrial workshops, exhibition halls, hypermarkets, shopping malls,DIY stores, airports and stations.

The Essential range of electronic lamps forms part of the Compact Fluorescent Integrated family of cost- and energy-saving lamps. They have a unique curved shape and offer an attractive and inexpensive energy-saving alternative to normal incandescent lamps. Features / Benefits This new range of lamps is available 8W, 14W and 18W versions as a replacement for 40W, 75W and 100W incandescent lamps.
These lamps have instant start characteristics (i.e. they start in less than 0.1 seconds) and consume 80% less energy than the incandescent lamps they replace. The lamps have a long life, lasting on average 2 years at 4 hours a day. They are available in two different colour temperatures: warm white (2700K) and cool daylight (6500K). The lamps can operate under wide voltage conditions (from 170Vto 250V).
Applications Suitable for replacing equivalent incandescent lamps in a wide range of indoor luminaries in household applications
where lighting is required for longer periods of time. The low initial cost of these lamps makes them ideally suited for stimulating "first time use" in the home. Min. starting temperature 0C.
The Ecotone Super Professional 12000 range is a full range of (non-covered) electronic energy-saving lamps, offering a low-weight, long-life alternative to incandescent lamps. Features / Benefits- This Ecotone Super range of electronic energy-saving lamps is available in 15W, 20W and 23W with B22 cap. All types are available in colour temperature 2700K (warm white) as well as 6500K (cool daylight).
The electronic ballast of the Ecotone Super lamps incorporates an integrated circuit. This IC improves the independence of lamp life of a fast switching (provided off-time is not less than 10 seconds) and gives a starting time of less than 1 second. The influence of the mains voltage variation (10%) on the lamps luminous flux has become negligible (<5%). The minimum mains voltage required for the lamp to ignite is 170V (AC) and for the lamp to function after ignition is 180V (AC). Average lamp life is 12000 hours. Energy consumption is approx. 80% less than the incandescent lamps they replace.
Applications The Ecotone Super range of electronic energy-saving lamps is specified for professional use and they are suitable for replacing incandescent lamps in most professional luminaries. Due to their significant energy and cost saving benefits they are especially suitable for professional applications such as in restaurants, hotels and offices where lighting is required for longer periods of time or in places where lamp replacement is difficult. Due to the use of amalgam technology, the light output is almost constant (>80%) over the recommended range of ambient temperatures. Average switch life is over 20000 switches.
